International Conference – NIFT Chennai | ICDF 2026

1. General Information

ICDF 2026 is an International Conference organised by NIFT Chennai focusing on “Designing the Future: Creativity, Inclusion & Technology in Youth Innovation.” It brings together academicians, researchers, industry professionals, artists, designers, and students from across India and around the world.

The conference will be conducted in-person at NIFT Chennai Campus, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.

The conference is open to research scholars, academicians, industry experts, designers and artists, students, independent researchers, and professionals from India and abroad. Participants may attend as presenters or participants (non-presenters).

2. Registration (Important Note)

All Registration and Fee details are available under the “Registration” menu on the website.

Yes. Participants can register and attend the conference without submitting an Extended Abstract or Full Paper. This option is available in the Registration menu.

Yes. The presenting author must be 35 years of age or below in March 2026.

Travel and accommodation for selected paper presenters (both India and International) shall be provided by the conference organizers. Only one author per paper will be supported for in-person presentation. Any expenses incurred by co-authors will be the responsibility of the respective individuals.

3. Extended Abstract Submission – FAQ

An Extended Abstract is a concise but detailed version of a research/presentation proposal (1200–1500 words), covering Title, Purpose/Objectives, Methodology, Key findings/expected outcomes, Keywords, References. Template is available in Downloads.

Yes. Only authors who submit an Extended Abstract and receive acceptance can register as presenters, submit the Full Paper, and present at the conference.

Extended Abstracts must be submitted through the “Submit Extended Abstract” link available on the website.

Yes, multiple submissions are allowed. Each accepted submission requires separate registration. One presenter can present only one paper.

Submissions should align with the conference theme and sub-themes, including creativity and innovation, design thinking, sustainability, inclusion, textile and fashion technology, craft resurgence, digital transformation, youth empowerment, and interdisciplinary practices.

Acceptance notifications will be sent to the registered email ID and will also be updated on the website.

5. Full Paper Submission – FAQ

Only authors whose Extended Abstract is accepted can submit the Full Paper.

Yes, if the author wishes to present and publish the work, the Full Paper must be submitted within the deadline.

The Full Paper must be submitted through the “Submit Full Paper” link on the website.

You will not be eligible for presentation or publication. However, you may still attend as a registered participant.

7. Poster Presentation

Please refer to the guidelines and templates under Call for Papers / Downloads.

Yes. Poster templates are available under the Downloads menu.

No. Travel and accommodation are applicable only for selected paper presenters, not for poster presenters.

8. Downloads Menu – FAQ

The Downloads menu contains Extended Abstract template, Full Paper template, PPT/Poster templates, Author Guidelines, Poster guidelines and template, Case Study guidelines, Conference brochure, schedule (when released), and declaration forms (if any).

Files are available in .docx / .pptx formats for easy use.

Yes. All authors must follow the official templates provided in the Downloads section.

9. Certificates & Participation

Yes. All registered and attended participants will receive a Certificate of Participation or Certificate of Paper Presentation (for authors).

Certificates will be issued after the conference in digital or printed format as decided by the organisers.
